Jumping Amsterdam

This weekend has been busy and really fun!
It started on friday, i had to work from 2 till 9.15 p.m. and then i took the train at 9.30 p.m. to The Hague. My dad's niece could get free tickets for Jumping Amsterdam. For those that don't know what it is, it is an horse event with equestrian riders and dressage riders. It's an beautiful event with lots of international riders. So it took me 2 and a half hours to get in The Hague and i stayed the night with my dad's niece. The next day we went to Amsterdam as we had tickets for the whole day, we wanted to see everything. We started the day with dressage. Unfortunately i forgot my good camera so i had to take pictures with my phone. But you can still see it quite good.

Edward Gal with Glock's Romanov
My favorite rider with dressage is Edward Gal, he had a very good time with his other horse Totilas but it wasn't his own horse and the owners sold the horse without telling Edward Gal. So now the family Glock (weapontrading) bought a horse for him and they'll only sell the horse when Edward agrees.

When the dressage was over, the jumping started and it was very fun to watch. We were on the normal tribune in the morning and the afternoon. For the evening we had VIP tickets. So we had an excellent view on the arena and the riders with their horses. First we had an amazing show from Mario Luraschi with his crew. I filmed it with my phone but the image is upside down and i can't get it fixed :( so i got a photo from the internet, so you guys could see a little part of the show!

This is not in Amsterdam but it's the same crew

There is always a "macho" between all the riders, that wants to show who has the biggest horse haha. This
time it was an italian and i have to see, he did have a beautiful horse.. So he had the right to be a little  arrogant.

And then my favorite rider with jumping is a german rider. He has a very calm and technical style of riding, so  i really like him although he doesn't win that often. And Jos Lansink is also very good, originally he's dutch but when they decided he couldn't come to the olympics for The Netherlands he moved to Belgium to go to the Olympics because in Belgium they really wanted him on the team.

Daniel Deusser with Lilly Fee

We also had an afterparty, so we stayed to dance along to the music and have a drink. On sunday i went home again. This weekend flew by.

Did you have a nice weekend? If you also like to go this sort of events, who is your favorite rider? And do you ride yourself?

xoxo Anne
